What are Digest and Subscription emails?

Digest and Subscription emails inform you of recent activity in the system and remind you to take action.

What is the Digest? 

The Digest is an email that contains updates about your Items in KaiNexus. It includes notifications you've opted to receive, Team Role-based notifications, notifications other users have shared with you, and date-sensitive notifications. It serves as a summary of recent activity in the app that is specific to you. 

The Digest will never include Archived Items.

When is the Digest sent? 

Your organization can choose the default days new users receive a Digest. It is usually once a week, but it could be more often depending on organizational preference. 

However, regardless of the default setting, you can change your personal preference for when and how often you receive a Digest.

View and edit your notification preferences in your User Profile. 

You will not receive a digest email if:

  • You have no new notifications since your last digest was sent,
  • You have not signed in to KaiNexus in the last 90 days,
  • You have disabled the digest in your notification preferences,
  • You don't have an email address associated with your KaiNexus account, or
  • Emails are disabled for your KaiNexus account

What are Subscriptions? 

Subscriptions are emails with links to the Boards or Custom Lists to which you are subscribed. They serve as reminders to check these areas of the app for updates.

To receive a Subscription email, you must be subscribed to at least one Custom List or Board. This includes: 

When are Subscription emails sent? 


Like the Digest, you organization can choose the default days new users receive their Subscriptions. If you have Subscriptions, you will usually receive a subscription email at least once a week.

However, you can change your personal preference for when and how often you receive your Subscriptions regardless of the default setting.

Ofie Profile PicPro Tip: If the Item List returns zero results, it won't be included in your subscription. Furthermore, if the List with zero results is the only List or Board you are subscribed to, the subscription email won't be sent at all. 

How do I change when I receive Digest and Subscription emails?

You can change the time and frequency of your Digest and Subscription emails by editing your notification preferences in your User Profile.
