Display any text, links, files, gifs, images, or videos on a Card.
Freestyle Cards are unstructured and customizable, giving you the creative freedom to use them however you want. You can add text, links, images, or videos. You can even embed information from another software platform if that platform allows for it
Example of three Freestyle Cards on a Board
Freestyle Cards are often used to:
- Call attention to people doing great work and point out some of the awesome Items in the system. You can even add links to the Card to take people straight to each Item for a closer look.
- If you’re hosting any challenges or contests to do with your organization’s Lean efforts, you can post an announcement to a popular Board.
- Post a schedule of any upcoming classes or seminars so that people can check on it whenever they want.
- Put an image of your company’s True North or Strategic Pillars.
- Create a navigation system within KaiNexus to various Boards or Items.

Use Code View to embed videos and webpages in your Freestyle Card
Code View allows you to embed videos and websites in your Freestyle Card. This function is called an iframe.
Using an iframe on a Freestyle Card brings external content into KaiNexus, allowing you to see and interact with elements located outside of KaiNexus without leaving the app.
Here are some examples of how you can use this feature:
- Embedding a process map from an online whiteboard platform to display procedures
- Presenting data from a separate business analytics platform
- Embedding training or informational videos

- Select the </> icon again to return to the normal Card editing view. You will see that the video has been embedded. Select Preview and Save to save your work.

<p>
<iframe src="https://support.kainexus.com/" width=" 1500px" height="800px"></iframe>
