Intro to Boards

From Tiered Huddles to Kanban Boards, Boards are the primary way in which Users interact with the system and access the information that is important to them.

What is a Board?

  • A Board is a visual display of your Items and other data in KaiNexus.
  • A Board is made of up Cards, which pull data from other areas of KaiNexus.
  • Boards and Cards are configurable, allowing you the ability to include Lists, Charts, and Reports to visualize your data.
  • Every Board has its own page, and Boards can be nested under other Boards. On a Board's page, Board Breadcrumbs show the nesting hierarchy of your Boards.
  • Boards start out Private by default, but they can be Shared with specific Users, Role Types, or Network Locations.
  • Print or save a Board as a PDF to share data with other members of your team outside of KaiNexus.

The Boards Section

The Boards section is accessible using the Navigation Bar at the top of the app. Depending on your User Type and System Role permissions, you may use the Boards section to:

  • Navigate your BoardsBoards DropDown
  • Create a Board
    • Only Users with a System Role that grants them the Create Boards permission or the Board Administrator permission will see the + Create Board option in the Board menu.
  • Manage Boards
    • Only Users with a System Role that grants them the Board Administrator permission will see the Manage Boards option in the Board menu.
