Workflows, Templates, and Items
What is a Workflow?
Workflows are simply a tag used to organize KaiNexus. Each of your improvement methodologies (e.g. DMAIC, Rapid Improvement Event, Bottom-Up Improvement) is supported by a Workflow made up of Templates, Boards, and user permissions.
Grouping Templates within a Workflow helps you to organize, filter, and report on your organization's improvement work.
What is a Template?
Templates are the building blocks of your Workflow. Each Template is a custom framework that governs what information people capture and track when working on improvement.
You'll work with your configuration team and Customer Success Manager to build out your Templates, grouped by Workflow.
For more information on Templates, check out this support article: Standard Layout vs. Custom Layout Templates.
What is an Item?
An Item is a single piece of improvement work submitted using a Template.
