      Configure the default Digest and Subscription email settings for your organization

      Set the default Digest and Subscription days and times at the organizational level. This will be used as the default for any new users.

      By default, when a new user is created in KaiNexus, they will be configured to receive a Digest or Subscription email generated at midnight (in the organization's time zone) every day of the week.

      While each user's notification preferences can be updated to change their Digest and Subscription email frequency and time, the organization's settings can also be configured such that all new users will have some other default configuration.

      Two Line OfieChanging the organization's default Digest and Subscription email settings will only affect new users. Users who were created prior to this change will not be affected.

      Who can configure the organization's default Digest and Subscription email settings?

      Anyone with the "System Administrator" can access the General administration page and configure the organization's default Digest and Subscription settings.

      Configure the organization's default Digest and Subscription email settings

      To configure the default Digest and Subscription email settings, navigate to Admin > System > General.

      • To configure the Default Digest Days:
        • Select the Configure Default Digest Days for new users' preference checkbox. Once the checkbox is enabled, each day of the week will be listed alongside a checkbox.

        • Use the checkboxes beside each day of the week to determine which days Users will receive their Digest email. Users will receive their Digest email (if they have any updates) on each of the selected days by default. Click the checkbox next to a day to select or deselect it.
      • To configure the Default Subscription Days:
        • Select the Configure Default Subscription Days for new users' preference checkbox. Once the checkbox is enabled, each day of the week will be listed alongside a checkbox.

        • Use the checkboxes beside each day of the week to determine which days Users will receive their Subscription email. Users will receive their Subscription email on each of the selected days (if they have subscribed to any Lists or Boards) by default. Click the checkbox next to a day to select or deselect it.
      • To configure the Default Digest & Subscription Time:
        • Select the Configure Default Digest/Subscription Time for new users' preference checkbox. Once the checkbox is enabled, drop-downs for time and time zone will appear.

        • Select the time at which processing should begin on the user's Digest and Subscriptions emails and select their time zone. They will typically receive these emails within an hour of their processing start time.
      • Click Save.
