Troubleshooting
What happens during system downtime?
KaiNexus will have system downtime during new releases and planned maintenance.
What is system downtime?
System downtime is a period where you cannot access KaiNexus or do work in the application. KaiNexus will have system downtime during new releases and planned system maintenance.
When does system downtime happen?
We plan system downtime to occur during low-usage periods across our customer base. Downtime is not customizable.
- Downtime for non-release system maintenance typically occurs at 9 AM Central Time on a Saturday. Dates for planned maintenance are set as necessary and shared through email.
- Downtime for new releases occurs in the evenings (Central Time) on release days, which is usually a Friday.
Will I be notified of system downtime?
KaiNexus Champions will receive advance notice of planned maintenance and releases through email. If you need to be added to the email list, ask your Customer Success Manager.
What if I am using KaiNexus during downtime?
The system will go down for about 15 minutes during planned maintenance and releases.
If you're in the system when downtime is approaching, you'll receive a popup notifying you that the system is going down soon and that you should save your work because you'll be kicked out when downtime begins.
If you try to log in during the downtime, you'll be taken to a page notifying you that the system is down for maintenance.
After the downtime is complete, you can sign in as normal.
Will system downtime affect API?
API will not work during system downtime.
If your API is set to run during the maintenance, you'll either need to run the API again after the downtime is over or configure it so that it will run again in the event of a failure.
If your API isn't scheduled to run during downtime, your API will be unaffected.
