How to Create a Lead Time or a folder

The Admin area is only accessible by administrators; only Quality Administrators can perform the functions detailed on this support page.

 

How do I create a new Lead Time?

Once the Lead Time Impact Type has been created by your CE Lead, then:

  • Navigate to the Admin section Admin_section.png.

  • Click on “Lead Time”

  • In the resulting page:

 

If you want to create a new Lead Time and have it automatically placed in a folder:

    • Click on the folder’s name so that it is highlighted blue.

    • Click in the top right corner of the “Lead Time” page.

    • In the resulting drop-down menu, click Create_Lead_Time.png.

If you want to create a new Lead Time without having it automatically placed in a folder:

    • Click in the top right corner of the “Lead Time” page.

    • In the resulting drop-down menu, clickCreate_Lead_Time.png.

In the resulting window:

  • Enter the name of the Lead Time in the “Name:” field.

  • (**Optional**) Add a description in the “Description” field. This description will appear as a tooltip if you hover over this Lead Time when resolving an Item.

  • (**Optional**) We strongly recommend that you enter the estimated hourly rate for this Lead Time in the “Rate:” field so that, when an Item is marked as having saved this kind of Lead Time, the system can calculate how much that time is worth monetarily.

  • If your organization has multiple currencies in place with the Advanced ROI module, choose which currency this type of Lead Time uses.

  • If you want this Lead Time to be the default type, check the box next to “Default.” If you do so, when someone records that their Item had a Lead Time impact, this type of Lead Time will be filled in by default, although the user can change it to another type of Lead Time if necessary.

  • Select Network Location(s) with the “Locations:” field to specify that this Lead Time option only be available for Users that are within that Network Location(s).

  • To help us accurately calculate the Lead Time savings of any recorded time savings, enter how many hours a day, days per week, and weeks per year the average process of this type works in the “Hours/Day:” , “Days/Week:” , “Weeks/Year:” fields, respectively.

  • Click Save.png.

 

How do I create a new Lead Time folder?

Once the Lead Time Impact Type has been created by your CE Lead, then:

  • Navigate to the Admin section Admin_section.png.

  • Click on “Lead Time”

  • In the resulting page:

    • Click in the top right-hand corner of the “Lead Time” page.

    • In the resulting drop-down menu, click Create_Folder.png.

In the resulting window:

  • Enter the name of the folder in the “Name:” field.

  •  (**Optional**) Add a description in the “Description” field. This description will appear as a tooltip if you hover over this Lead Time folder when resolving an Item.

  • Select Network Location(s) with the “Locations:” field to specify that this Lead Time folder option only is available for Users that are within that Network Location(s).

  • Click Save.png.
