Who can edit a Chart?

How do I edit a Pareto Chart’s details?
Open the Pareto Chart you want to work with, then:
- Click
in the top right corner of the page.
- Click
in the resulting drop-down menu.
In the resulting window, you can:
- Edit the name of the Chart.
- Edit any fields and Attributes. The available sections will depend on the configuration of that Chart type as determined by your organization.
- Edit the parent - this is the item under which this Chart is nested. If you want this Chart to be stand-alone, leave the “Parent” field blank.
- Check the box next to “Make Private” to restrict access to this Chart to only people on its team or people with the "View Private" permission for Charts in this Location.
Leave this box unchecked to allow access to anyone with the “View” permission for Charts in this Location.
Click when you’re satisfied with the Chart’s details.
How do I edit a Pareto Chart’s data?
Open the Pareto Chart you want to work with, then:
- Click
in the top right corner of the page.
- Click
in the resulting drop-down menu.
On the resulting screen, make sure you’re in the “Data” tab, then proceed.
Add a data series
If you want to add a new series, click .
In the resulting window, you can:
- Enter a title.
- (**Optional**) Enter a description.
- Choose the color that should be used for that series.
- Click
when you're done configuring the series.
Once you save the Chart, the automatically generated accumulative percentage series will be created.
Edit an existing data series
To edit an existing data series, click next to the series's name. In the resulting window, customize the pareto series as described above.
Additionally, you can edit the accumulative percentage series by clicking its name. You can:
- Choose the color that should be used for the series.
- Check "Dashed Line" if you want the series to be represented by a dashed line rather than a solid one."
- Check "Show Markers" if you want to display the data point markers on the line.
Import your data
If you want to quickly transfer data from an Excel spreadsheet into a KaiNexus Chart, consider using the Chart import function.
NOTE: You can use the import function to update data and add rows of data, but not to add new series or delete existing rows.

Add rows
You can add lots of rows at once by clicking .
In the resulting window:
- Enter the number of rows you want to add.
- Click
.
If you just need to add a single row (or multiple rows, one at a time), click near the bottom of the Chart window.
Edit the Chart's advanced options
To edit the Chart's advanced options, click .
In the resulting window, you can configure the:
- X-Axis - Enter the title that should be displayed under the x-axis.
- Legend - You can pick where the legend should be displayed in relation to the Chart. Choose between positioning it to the top, left, bottom, or right of the Chart.
- Control Limits - You can set the lower, average, and upper control limits, as well as the color that should be used for each.
Check the box next to “Generate Flag” if a flag should be generated if the data is out of the control limit.
Check the box next to “Red Markers” if data points should be made red if data is out of control - markers must also be enabled on the series configuration screen. - Visible Series - You can hide certain series by default for anyone viewing the Chart by unchecking the box(es) next to each series' name(s). They will be able to toggle between "Show Series" and "Hide Series" if they want to see the hidden series now and again.
Click when you're done configuring the advanced options.
Add and edit data
Once you've added your rows, you can add individual data points. To do so, click on the appropriate column and row intersection, then enter the appropriate value.
When you're finished updating the Chart, click .
