How to Delete an Incident

STOP: Is the Incident Module enabled for your organization?

When you delete an Incident, all elements of the Incident except for the Items nested under will be deleted, unless you choose to delete the nested Items along with it.

NOTE: Once an Item has been deleted from KaiNexus, it CANNOT be recovered. For this reason, we highly recommend you either close out the Item with “No Change”, Archive the Item, or Defer the Item to maintain its record within KaiNexus if necessary.

Who can delete an Incident?

  • Only Users with both the “Edit - Incident” and “Delete - Incident” permissions if the Incident is in the specified Network Location.

Who is notified when an Incident is deleted?

An email is sent to the Incident’s Team and anyone who has set up their notification preferences to include being notified about deleted Incidents in that Location.
