Create a Chart


How do I create a new Chart?

Users can create a chart by clicking  at the top of the screen, then clicking on any of the available Chart types. 

NOTE: If you don't see any Chart types, your organization either has no Chart types available or you do not have the appropriate permissions to create one.

 

In the resulting window,

  • Enter any required or optional fields and Attributes. The available fields and Attributes - as well as their optional/required status - is dependent on your organization's settings.

  •  (**Optional**) Enter a start date and/or due date in the fields of the same name.

    • A Chart with no start date will enter the "New" status.

    • A Chart with a future start date will enter the "Planned" status

    • A Chart with a current or past start date will enter the "Active" status

    • A Chart with a start date and a past due date will enter the "Overdue" status.

  • (**Optional**) Enter the name or ID number of the item under which you want to nest this Chart in the "Parent" field. A Chart can be nested under a Project, Improvement, Incident, or another Chart. If you do not nest the Chart under another item, it will be a stand-alone item.

  • (**Optional**) Check the box next to "Make Private" to restrict access to this Chart to only the people on its team. Leave this box unchecked to give access to anyone with the "View" permission for Charts in this Location.

  • Under the "Team" section, you can edit the list of Authors and Followers as necessary.

  • When you're satisfied with your Chart's details, click 2017-12-27_1452_001.png.

 

When you're ready to edit the Chart's data, open that Chart and follow the instructions on this support page.
