Customize Cards' headers

You can add a secondary header to any Card on your Boards and customize the color of each Card’s headers. This is a helpful visual aid if your Board has columns or rows that tie into several different topics.

Who can configure a Card?

  • The Board's Owners

  • Anyone with the "Global Board Administrator" permission

 

How do I customize a Card’s headers?

Open the Board containing the Card with which you want to work, then:

  • Click 2018-03-28_1631.png in the top right corner of that Card.

  • In the resulting drop-down menu, hover over 2018-03-29_1232.png.

  • To edit the primary header - which contains the original title of the Card - hover over 2018-03-29_1233.png in the resulting drop-down menu.

    • You can edit the primary header of the Card by entering the new text in the “Primary Header Text” field. If you leave this field blank, the Card will retain the title you entered on the filter screen.

    • You can customize the background of the header by clicking any of the colors under “Header Background Color” or, if your organization has enabled this option, by using the Hex Color picker or entering the Hex Value of the color you want to use.

    • You can customize the text of the header by clicking any of the colors under “Header Text Color” or, if your organization has enabled this option, by using the Hex Color picker or entering the Hex Value of the color you want to use.

  • To edit the secondary header - which does not exist on the Card by default - hover over 2018-03-29_1233_001.png in the resulting drop-down menu.

    • Create the secondary header by entering its name in the “Secondary Header Text” field.

    • Pick where on the Card you want the title to be displayed in the “Header Position” field. You can choose between the Card's left side, right side, or top.

    • You can customize the background of the header by clicking any of the colors under “Header Background Color” or, if your organization has enabled this option, by using the Hex Color picker or entering the Hex Value of the color you want to use.

    • You can customize the text of the header by clicking any of the colors under “Header Text Color” or, if your organization has enabled this option, by using the Hex Color picker or entering the Hex Value of the color you want to use.
