The continuous improvement model begins with the idea that everyone in an organization can, and should be expected to, get involved in improvement.
KaiNexus allows you to easily measure engagement and see who your improvement leaders are and who needs a little more coaching.
Reading the User Engagement Summary
Navigate to the Reports section using the left navigation menu. Open the list of Engagement Reports and open the "User Engagement Summary."
Use this Report to track how engaged your users are in KaiNexus. Select a date range and a category to see how it's changed over time:
- # of Annualized Improvements per Person: The average number of Improvements each person submits per year.
- Logged In: The percentage of people who have logged into KaiNexus.
- Used System: The percentage of employees who have done more in KaiNexus than just logging in.
For a list of users who meet the requirements (i.e. users who have submitted an Improvement, logged in, or used the system in the set time frame) click .
For a list of users who do not meet the requirements (i.e. users who have not submitted an Improvement, logged in, or used the system in the set time frame) click .
Filtering the list of users
Click "People" in the left navigation bar to navigate to the "People" page.
To open the advanced filters, click in the top right corner of the "People" page
In the resulting window, open the Engagement drop-down menu to see your options. Select one of those options. After you select a criterion, you will be asked to specify a time frame. Once you apply these filters, you will see a list of all users who met that criterion during that time frame.
For example, if you chose "Logged In" and "Last 7 days," you will see a list of those users who have logged in at some point during the last week.
If you chose "Not Submitted Improvement" and "All Time," you will see a list of those users who have never submitted an Improvement.
Pro Tip: To encourage employees that have never logged into KaiNexus to participate in the system, filter "Not Logged In" for "All Time," then select all those users, click "Bulk Edit," and choose "Send Activation Instructions."
Pro Tip: To encourage employees that have not submitted an Improvement over a certain time period, filter "Not Submitted Improvement" for a selected time period, then export the user list. A quick copy and paste of email addresses into your email client and a short message might be all it takes to encourage your employees to submit some ideas.
