Add an Improvement to a Project - Nested Improvements

A Project is made up of configurable fields and attributes. In addition, Improvements that relate to the greater goal can be nested under the Project to keep all the related work together.

For example, if you had a Project to reduce cost in your department, each idea to achieve that goal would be an Improvement, and each Improvement would have its own person (or team of people) working on it.

Who can nest an Improvement?

Only the Project's team (excluding followers) can add Improvements to a Project. That includes:

How do I nest an Improvement?

1) When creating a new Improvement:

  • Enter the name of the Project under which you want to nest this Improvement in the "Add to project" field.

2) Edit an existing Improvement:

  • Open the Improvement.

  • Enter the name of the Project under which you want to nest this Improvement in the "Add to project" field.

You can change this field when you want to remove an Improvement from a Project - clear the field and the Improvement will be independent; replace the original Project's name with a new one and the Improvement will be removed from the original and added to the new Project.

3) Add an Improvement from the Project's page:

Open the Project page.

  • Open the "Improvements" tab.

  • Click .

In the resulting window:

  • Click "Create" and create a new Improvement as you normally would. The "Add to Project" field will already be filled in with the name of this Project.

  • Enter the name of the Project to which you want to add this Improvement in the "Choose Existing" field. You can add multiple names in this field to add multiple Improvements to the Project at once.

How can I view nested Improvements?
