What are a Task’s Locations?
Sometimes it's useful to identify where a Task took place. To accomplish this in KaiNexus, you can assign a Location to every Task. You can then filter a list of Tasks by Location to see which were supported by a given department, system, workgroup, etc.
A Task’s Location defaults to that of the Task’s Author and will not be automatically changed afterward, regardless of the Location of its parent. You can, however, manually update the Task’s Location.

Open the Task with which you want to work, then:
- Click in the top right corner of the page.
- Click in the drop-down menu.
In the resulting window:
- Update the Locations listed in the “Location(s)” field.
