Exclude Locations from activity tracking

Opt-out specific Network Locations from showing user activity information in the platform

KaiNexus tracks user activity and displays it on user profiles. The Habit tracking feature also monitors actions to help measure how engaged leaders and key stakeholders are with your improvement culture.

If needed, you can exclude users from these forms of activity tracking based on their Network Location. This setting allows you to limit activity visibility in specific areas of your organization for privacy reasons.

Ofie Profile PicPro Tip: Learn more about Habit Scores on our Habit Tracking support page.

Who can exclude Locations from activity tracking?

Anyone with the System Administrator permission in their System Role can access the General administration page and update which Locations are excluded from activity tracking.

Exclude Locations from activity tracking

To exclude Locations from Activity tracking, navigate to the General administration page, then:

  • Scroll to the Reporting header.
  • Use the Excluded Activity Locations drop-down to select one or more Network Locations.

    • If you need help finding a specific Location, select the Location Search icon. The Location Search window allows you to browse the Network and apply filters to find what you need.
  • Select Save. To see changes take effect, you will need to sign out and then sign back into the system.

After Excluded Activity Locations are defined, users assigned to the specified Location(s) will:

  • No longer see the Habits tab on the Activity screen in their User Profile

  • Have their previous Habit Scores and Routines cleared

  • Stop generating new Habit Scores

  • No longer have the View Activity button in their User Profile
  • No longer have the View Badges option in their User Profile, and their visible Badges will no longer be clickable.
  • Will no longer have a View Activity button when their account is searched using the Search Bar.
