Edit another user's Max Capacity

Learn how to edit another user's Max Capacity and bulk change it for many users.

A user's Max Capacity is the maximum amount of work they can take on within a specific Capacity Category. It helps communicate their total availability to their teammates and leaders. When a user's commitments exceed their Max Capacity, they'll be marked as over capacity.

Who can edit another user's Max Capacity

To edit the Max Capacity of other users, you must have Capacity Administrator  included in your System Role Permissions

Editing another user's Max Capacity

You can edit a user's Max Capacity from:

  • Their profile picture anywhere in the platform

  • The User Management or People page

Editing Max Capacity from a user’s profile

To edit a user's Max Capacity from their profile: 

  • Click the user's profile picture anywhere it appears in the platform, such as the Team Panel of an Item or a People List. This will open their User Profile. 
  • Select the Actions button. In the resulting drop-down menu, select Capacity Settings.
  • The Capacity Settings window will open.

Editing Max Capacity from the User Management or People page

To edit a user's Max Capacity in the People section or User Management admin page. 

  • Hover over a user. Additional options will appear on the far right of the row.
  • Select the calendar icon.
  • The Capacity Settings window will open.

In the Capacity Settings window, set the Max Capacity for each of your organization's Capacity Categories. 

  • Capacity Category: Each Capacity Category in your organization will be listed. 
  • Description: If a Capacity Category has a description, it will be included here. 
  • Max Capacity: Use the number field to determine the user’s Max Capacity for each Capacity Category.
  • UOM: The unit of measurement for each Capacity Category is listed in this column. 
  • Last Updated: This column displays the last time the user's Max Capacity for each category was updated.
