Create an Employment Status (or Folder)

NOTE: The Admin area is only accessible by administrators; only Global User Administrators can perform the functions detailed on this support page.

 

How do I create a new Employment Status?

Navigate to the "Employment Statuses" admin page, then:

If you want to create a new Employment Status and have it automatically placed in a folder:

  • Click on the folder’s name so that it is highlighted blue.

  • Click  in the top right corner of the page.

  • In the resulting drop-down menu, click .

 

If you want to create a new Employment Status without having it automatically placed in a folder:

  • Click  in the top right corner of the page.

  • In the resulting drop-down menu, click .

In the resulting window:

  • Enter the name of the Employment Status.

  • (**Optional**) Add a description. This description will appear when you hover over the Employee Type when editing or creating a user. This is helpful if you want other User Administrators to understand to what exactly it refers before they add it to someone's profile.

  • (**Optional**) Choose an icon (follow the given instructions to find an appropriate icon). This icon will appear next to the Employment Status when editing or creating a user or filtering a list of users. It's helpful for when people are quickly skimming a long list of Employment Statuses.

  • (**Required only if you chose an icon**) Pick a color for the selected icon.

  • Click .

 

How do I create a new Employment Status folder?

Navigate to the "Employment Status" admin page, then:

  • Click  in the top right corner of the page.

  • In the resulting drop-down menu, click 2018-04-11_1432.png.



In the resulting window:

  • Enter the name of the folder.

  • (**Optional**) Add a description. This description will appear when you hover over the folder when editing or creating a user. This is helpful if you want other User Administrators to understand to what exactly the folder refers.

  • (**Optional**) Choose an icon (follow the given instructions to find an appropriate icon). This icon will appear next to the folder when editing or creating a user or filtering a list of users. It's helpful for when people are quickly skimming a long list of Employment Status.

  • (**Required only if you chose an icon**) Pick a color for the selected icon.

  • Click .

 

Pro Tip: If you want to move an Employment Status in or out of a folder or reorder the list, you can do so by clicking the Employment Status or folder on the list and dragging it to its new position.
