KaiNexus 3.1.2 Release Notes

Get ready for another round of improvement! In this latest release, we keep things interesting with exciting new features, quality-of-life improvements, and meticulous bug fixes. These enhancements have been thoughtfully crafted to elevate your experience, and we are thrilled to share them with you.

Release Highlights

• Have you ever had difficulty searching for a specific Item? We’ve added Item Search functionality to all Item Fields to help you find Items quicker and easier than ever. Whenever you need to add a specific Item to a field, you can now use the magnifying glass icon to open the Item Search. This powerful tool lets you narrow down results by entering your own parameters.
• We are introducing the Habits Calendar. When you view your Activity in your User Profile, you will see a new Habits tab that displays a calendar tracking your critical habits in the system. If you have the Quality Administrator Permission, then you can view the Habits Calendar for other Users in addition to your own. The Habits Calendar helps encourage people to sign in, clear their notifications, and interact with the system daily. Watch for who is maintaining a streak and who may need to be more engaged. 
• A new Widget Type has arrived: the Link Button. Add Link Buttons to Widget Cards when you want to prompt Users to navigate to a specific website URL, Item, Board, or Item List within KaiNexus. This stylish button will spruce up your Boards and make important links even more enticing. 
• KaiNexus is here to help prevent you from accidentally deleting Boards and Cards. We updated the appearance of the Delete Board and Delete Card windows to clarify what Board or Card you are deleting and when you are deleting them.
• After you have updated the View and Filters on a Nested Item List, you may prefer the List to return to its original settings. To help you accomplish this quickly, we added a Reset Item Lists option to the Actions button in Items. Using this feature will reset all of an Item’s Nested Lists at the same time.

Enhancements

Item

• We’ve added Item Search functionality to all Item Fields to help you find Items quicker and easier than ever. Date

• We improved Item Due Date Histories to be more accurate when listing each Due Date change for an Item. 

Template

• Previously, the Templates listed in the Create Button drop-down would always have a horizontal line separating Templates with different icons. You can now work with your Customer Success Manager to customize when a horizontal line divides Templates in the Create Button, helping you group together similar Templates. 
• Inactive Templates will no longer show by default in Template drop-downs throughout the system. You can select an Inactive Template in drop-downs using the new Show All option. 
• When you open the Location Search from a single-select Location Field, the Location Search will now be smart enough to allow only one selection. 

Team

• When searching for Users to add to an Item Team, the system will highlight current Team members to indicate they are already on the Team. 

PDF

• You now have the option to hide your organization logo when printing PDFs. 

User Profile

Reports

• We added a Location & Below checkbox to Activity by Location Reports, allowing you to aggregate data for nested Locations into the Parent Location and easily display Location & Below Item Goals. 
• We made visual improvements to the controls of Impact Reports so that currency drop-downs have the appropriate spacing. 
• When you access an Impact Over Time Report from an Item, the Goal drop-down will no longer be visible. 

Widgets

• You can now lock Goal Widgets to a specific Location. Locking a Goal Widget to a Location allows you to display Goals on Boards without a Location Filter and compare the Goals of multiple Locations simultaneously.
• We are introducing a new Widget Type: the Link Button Widget. Use the Link Button to prompt Users to navigate to a specific website URL, Item, Board, or Item List. This stylish button will spruce up your Boards and make important links even more enticing. 

Milestones

• You can now set Milestone Ready and Approval Deadlines to a specific date. Previously, you could only specify the number of days the team had to move the Milestone forward. Now, you will have much more flexibility when planning time frames for projects utilizing Milestones. 

Attribute

• We improved the experience of editing Attribute notes for checkbox and radio button Attributes. 

Fields

• We made small adjustments to the visualization of certain drop-down fields to improve user experience. 
• We made it harder to accidentally open the Location Search, User Search, and Item Search by adjusting the clickable area of their respective icons.

Boards

• KaiNexus is here to help prevent you from accidentally deleting Boards and Cards. We updated the appearance of the Delete Board and Delete Card windows to clarify what Board or Card you are deleting and when you are deleting them. 

Charts

• Calculated Data Series can now accurately utilize data series formatted as percentages in their computations. 

Mobile

• Organizations using single sign-on can ask their Customer Success Manager to turn on a feature that allows people to stay signed in to the Mobile App without re-entering their credentials. 

UI

• We performed a lot of UI maintenance to continue improving the user experience. 
• Tooltips now have additional padding to make them easier to read and look even better than before. 

Bugs

• We fixed a bug causing special characters to appear incorrectly in translations. 
• Total Financial Impact Widgets no longer time out when generating Item Lists with Impact columns.
• We fixed a bug where User preferences for custom print settings were not saving in specific circumstances.
• We fixed a bug causing User API calls to return duplicate data.  
• Report Cards now show the full range of Date Filters when you add them to a Card.
