Recommended Board - Manager

This Board is particularly useful for managers or other users that are in charge of managing the improvement work of a particular area. You can create the Board once and make it public so that every user who needs it can access it; if you use the below settings, the information each user sees will be tailored to them.

 

This Board has 6 Cards, organized 3x2.

 

 

New Improvements

These are Improvements within the user's location that still need to be assigned so that work on them can begin. This is important for managers since they are typically the people in charge of assigning local Improvements.

  • Click  and select "Improvement List.”

  • In the "Location(s)" field, enter "Current Location." This will ensure that each user sees information relating to their own location when they log into KaiNexus and look at this Board. If a user is in multiple locations, information from each of those locations will be included on this Card.

  • In the "Status" field, enter “New.”




 

Active and Overdue Improvements

These are Improvements which are currently in-progress in the user's location.

 

  • Click  and select “Improvement List."

  • In the "Location(s)" field, enter “User’s Current Location."

  • In the "Status" field, enter “Active" and “Overdue.”

 


Improvements Awaiting Approval

These are Improvements which are currently waiting for their Resolutions to be approved by the Assigner - this will typically be the location's manager.

 

  • Add  and select “Improvement List.”

  • In the "Location(s)" field, enter “User’s Current Location."

  • In the "Status" field, enter “Resolution Submitted.”


 

My Projects

These are Projects with which the user is involved, either as a Sponsor, Facilitator, Leader, Participant, or Follower.

  • Click  and select “Project List.”

  • In the "User(s)" field, enter “Current User."

 



My Tasks

These are in-progress Tasks with which the user is involved, either as an Assigner, Assignee, or Author.

  • Click  and select "Task List.”

  • In the "User(s)" field, enter "Current User."

  • In the "Status" field, enter "New," "Overdue," and "Active." This will return all Tasks except completed ones so that you know what is still in-progress.


 


Percolating Improvements

These are Improvements that have been put off or temporarily pushed back - Planned and Deferred Improvements.

  • Click  and select “Improvement List.”

  • In the "Location(s)" field, enter “User’s Current Location."

  • In the "Status" field, enter “Planned” and “Deferred.”
