Recommended Board - Personal

We recommend setting up this personal Board for every user. You can create the Board once and make it public so that every user can access it; if you use the below settings, the information each user sees will be tailored to them.

This Board has four Cards, organized 2x2. It is our simplest Board design and is easy to understand.

How to set up the personal Board

My Improvements

These are the Improvements with which the user is involved, either as an Author, Assigner, Responsible, Collaborator, or Follower.

  • Click  and select “Improvement List.”

  • In the "User(s)' field, enter “Current User.” This will ensure that each user sees information relating to themselves when they log into KaiNexus and look at this Board.

  • In the "Status" field, enter all statuses except "Complete." This will make the Card display only those Improvements which are currently in progress.

My Location

These are all the Improvements originating from or taking place in the user's location. This gives everyone an idea of work being done in their part of the organization.

  • Click  and select "Improvement List.”

  • In the "Location(s)" field, enter “User’s Current Location” and make sure that "Both" is selected so that both those Improvements authored by people in their location and those assigned to people in their location are displayed.

Pro Tip: If your organization transfers responsibility of Improvements to various locations in your organization, you might want to filter for “My Location” and  “Responsible Only.”

My Projects

These are all the Projects with which the user is involved, either as a Leader, Sponsor, Facilitator, Participant, or Follower.

  • Click  and select “Project List.”

  • In the User(s) field, enter “Current User.”

  • In the "Status" field, enter all statuses except "Complete." This will make the Card display only those Projects which are currently in progress.

My Tasks

These are all Tasks with which the user is involved, either as an Author, Assigner, or Assignee.

  • Click  and select “Task List.”

  • In the User(s) field, enter "Current User."

  • In the "Status" field, enter all statuses except "Complete." This will make the Card display only those Tasks which are currently in progress.
